DS League LLC (“DSLeague,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the DSLeague website and mobile application (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, username, and password. Your password is hashed using bcrypt before storage and is never stored in plain text.

User-Generated Content

We store data you create through your use of the Service, including league settings, team names, roster selections, trade proposals, and team logos you upload.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and two preference cookies to remember which league you last visited. These cookies are essential to the functioning of the Service and cannot be disabled.

Push Notifications

If you opt in to push notifications on the mobile app, we collect a device token so we can deliver notifications to your device. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools to collect anonymized usage and performance data. This data is not tied to your identity.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To operate the Service, including league management, drafts, and scoring
• To send transactional emails (e.g., password reset requests)
• To improve performance and reliability of the Service

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We share limited data with the following service providers, solely to operate the Service:

• Vercel — Hosts the application and stores uploaded team logos.
• Resend — Delivers transactional emails such as password reset links. Receives only your email address.
• Neon — Hosts the PostgreSQL database where your account and league data are stored.

These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. When you delete your account, your personal information (email address, name, password, and any uploaded images) is permanently deleted and you can no longer sign in. Your team names are replaced with “Deleted Team” and team logos are removed, except on teams that still have an active co-owner. League records that affect other members, such as rosters, draft picks, and trade history, are retained and shown as belonging to “Deleted User”.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure session tokens. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. You can delete your account directly from the Settings page, or contact us with any other request and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
